Stuff up by Scoop

Scoop, one of New Zealand’s major online news agencies, this afternoon published a Voice For Life Inc media release, but attributed it to another organisation.

While it could be argued that ‘no harm was done’ and ‘at least the news is out there’ Scoop have yet to correct the error, offer an apology or add links to related Voice For Life commentary on the subject.

The media offers few enough opportunities to honestly discuss the issues and support those who speak up for humanity.  It is a shame that when such a moment arises, the wider context of the discussion is lost.
